Home with the Family

If there is one thing I have learned in all my 23 years it's this. There's nothing like home. When I get ready to leave for school I always think I'm not gonna miss home. But then once I get to school I miss little things. (I don't necessarily want to move back home, but I "miss" home). I miss going to my siblings activities, being near family, and being near those I love. This break has been nice. I came home as early as I could and have sort of been going nonstop. We had a good Christmas, just missing dad. We are having our traditional New Years Party tomorrow. (Lots of cooking and baking to be done). I fly back on January 4th to start another semester. Three more after this Winter Semester!! I love my family and I am going to miss them, but I will be back again to visit.

End of another Semester

Once again we come to the end of another semester at BYU-I. This semester I have lived with great girls. Pamela Hay, Laura Pouliot, Camilla Nuffer, and Loni Nock. Even though the house we were living in wasn't exactly up to par, rent was cheap and we were close to campus. (Plus there was a washer and dryer!) Anyway, this semester I took Math 110, Chemistry 101, Old Testament, and World Foundations. I've had ups and downs with friends, not too much drama, and just enough homework and crazyness to last me another 4 semesters. On the plus side I did get accepted for Fast Grad and if all goes well I will graduate Winter of 2010!! I have made new friends and lost old ones but that is all part of life.
Right now, just thinking and I know it's a ways away, but after graduation I really don't know what I'm going to do for sure. If I'm not married I would love to go to Physician's Assistant school or Medical school, which means that from now until I graduated I have to hit the books hard. My major is Exercise Science and my minor is Chemistry. It's really interesting but hard at the same time.

I'm also trying to do all that the Lord requires of me. Let me just say that the talks from this past General Conference are absolutely amazing. I love reading the words of our Prophet Thomas Monson and his apostles. They are such an inspiration to me. Anyway, enough randomness, I'm going to bed, but I will try to be better at updating this blog.

Thanksgiving Break

     Thanksgiving Break...no snow...warmer weather...Phoenix Suns. So just like every year when I'm at school I don't usually go home. This year I had the opportunity to come to Arizona with Kaylissa. (Did I mention I love this girl?!) We are staying with her sister and doing so many fun things. We met up with her family friends, visited with BYU-I friends, went to a Suns game, and did Black Friday shopping and more! I love Arizona. It is such a beautiful place, although anywhere is better than Rexburg right now. We are leaving Sunday to go back, and i really don't want to, but we only have about 3 weeks of school left then its back to Oklahoma for Christmas!!! I can't wait!

What am I doing with my life

For those who know me really well, you know that I am a very indecisive person.  I make a decision that I think is good and then it turns out not so well.  I don't even want to talk about it, so don't ask, lol. So once again I am back in Rexburg, Idaho and am not leaving until I finish my degree.  Obviously Heavenly Father has a reason for me to come back here.  Right now I am staying with my roommate Emilee trying to find somwhere to live since things didn't work out in Provo. 
I feel sorry for my mom back home because everyone just seems to be leaving her. Dad is on his way overseas, Elika starts college at Ottawa University in Kansas, and I'm in Idaho. She does have Chris and Jasia, but with her doing school and clinicals and the kids with their activites they are so busy.
I hope that this semester is a good one and that I can accomplish things that need to be done, that I find a place to live, and that I am doing all that is required of the Lord. More updates to come later.

Doctors and my Knee

So today I had an appointment with an Orthopeadic surgeon so he could look at my knee. Apparently I have a bone bruise, some fluid, and possibly a torn meniscus. Well when I went in I got an x-ray and then came meeting the doctor. He showed my my MRI on the computer and told me that all he thinks that I need is a brace and not surgery.
1) That's awesome! I don't think i would have liked starting PTA school on crutches or traveling and not driving for a while.
2) If all I have to do it wear a brace...heck yeah!
anyway, that's what has been going on lately in my life. Not much to report. :-)

Starting Over

Once again another semester at BYU-Idaho has come and gone. So many things have happened that I don't know where to start. At the beginning of the semester I moved back into my old apartment from Fall 2009. I had two new roommates, Lynsee Swick and Kaylissa Spurlock. I was still living with Emily Petty, Jessica McIntyre, and Emilee Morrill. I love these girls. The day before classes started Jessica, Kaylissa, and I went to Porter Park and ended up playing football with a group of people. The guy that asked us to join has now become someone of interest and is one of my best friends. That's another story though. Anyway as an apartment we made a bucket list and sure enough we almost completed it!! We did so many cool things.
Other than a typical semester classes weren't too bad. Not my favorite semester but when is school ever fun or at the top of your fun list? I mean come on, really? Anway, we did things that we really wanted to do, like going to Lagoon, B&E's, Sweaty hat, and more. We did have a little rough spots during the semester but compared to other apartments I think that we did really good.

I was called as Relief Society 1st Counselor by my roommate Emily who was called as Relief Society President. I probably could have done a better job but for my first time in the RS Presidency I thought I did pretty well. I am really going to miss my friends/roommates/sisters. I will be moving to Utah on the 19th of August, into a new complex with 3 new girls, in a new ward, and starting a new school. I know a few people but that is it. I will be starting over completly. I'm sure that I will be calling my friends a lot, missing them, but trying to have a great experience as I start a new chapter in my life. We will see how things pan out. As for now that's all I have to write down. Good night!

Summertime and Living Life

BYU-Idaho in the Spring/Summer semester, what can I say about it. It's different. Okay so it's just like any other semester just during the summertime when instead of being inside I want to be outside soaking up the sun. At the beginning of the semester my roommates (Kaylissa Spurlock, Emilee Morrill, Lynsee Swick, Jessica McIntyre, and Emily Petty), we sat down and made a bucket list of things that we wanted to accomplish this semester. So far we have done pretty well. we went to Utah last weekend and went to Lagoon. We crossed off quite a few things. There have been so many things that have happened. I've made new friends, met a boy, got my heart broke, tried to repair it and now I'm just kind of going with the flow trying to make it through school. I love being here and I'm going to miss it but I want to go to PTA school. Hopefully things go my way and I can enjoy my "last" semester here in good ole' Rexburg.
