2011 has been a great year.

There are so many things that have happened this year that there doesn't seem to be anymore room for things. Lets start at the beginning:
1. Tyson and I met at the beginning of school and started dating. (January)
2. I spent the weekend with the Erikson family during conference weekend and we said I love you. (April)
3. We flew home for my brother Chris' graduation, Tyson met the family, and we were engaged at the end of the month during Memorial Weekend. (May)
4. My family came to Idaho and we got married on the 19th in the Rexburg Temple and we went to Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon. (August) 
5. We flew to Oklahoma for a reception and my in-laws and sister-in-law came too. Tyson started his last semester of classes! (September)
6. We flew to Oklahoma again for a week stay for Thanksgiving. (November) 
7.  We went to Seattle, WA to attend a Seahawks NFL game, we toured the stadium and the Mariner's stadium, found an apartment to live in when we move in March. Tyson is finishing up his finals, I'm finishing my last week of work, we are packing up and moving into his grandparents house for a few months, and we are approaching Christmas. (December)
I can't believe what a year this has been. I'm an truly blessed to have had a great year, married my best friend, and I seriously have the best family. I hope everyone has a great holiday season and we'll see you when the new year
begins.

Moving!

So the time has come for us to leave the cold and wintery world that is known as Rexburg. Yes, it is true, we are moving!! We don't know exactly when or to what city but we know the state and general area so that's a plus right? We are moving to Washington to go manage some Menchies that Tys' dad and uncle own. I'm excited to get out of Rexburg and be out on our own, but I'm a little nervous about not being near family. I'm not anywhere near my family right now, but we are at least near Tyson's. But it's a new adventure and a chance for us to do something by ourselves. We'll be fine, but there might be lots of long distant phone calls every once in a while.

Married Life

So when people ask how married life is I usually say it's okay. Not that it's bad by any means because it's not, but the fact that it's not all sunshine and rainbows like everyone says it is. Once you're married you have a lot of responsibilities. We both are working, me at Radiance Salon and Tyson at Just Sports. Tys is also finishing up his last semester. To be honest it's a little hard when you've been at work or school all day and all you want to do is come home and crash, which is what we have done the last few nights, although we've managed to squeeze in a movie or show before we hit the sack. As we are starting our lives together we are trying to figure out what we want to do. I wish that we knew where we were going to be in the next year, just because I'm a planner and I don't necessarily like not knowing what is going to happen, but then again I didn't think that I would meet and marry someone this year so I guess it doesn't matter where we are right now. We've also received the calling of Gospel Doctrine teachers which is something new for both of us, but obviously Heavenly Father has a reason for everything he does. We'll I thought that I'd just catch up a little. Until next time, Aloha.

WE GOT MARRIED!!

Well, we did it. On August 19th at 11 o'clock Tyson and I were sealed for time and all eternity in front of our family and friends.  It was such an amazing and beautiful day and I'm so happy that it came quickly.  It was a long day but totally worth it to be with loved ones and to have an awesome time at our luncheon and reception. To all those that helped we greatly appreciate it. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you to our parents that we love so much!

The day after the reception we got on a place and headed to Cancun for a week for R&R. It as so beautiful but we decided that we want to go back with more friends and do excursions.

Anyway we have been happily married for 3 weeks and still going strong! Till later!

The Time is Flyin' By

I can't believe ho fast time flies.  I can't believe that Tyson and I are getting married in 16 days!!! At times it seems like we just met, started dating, got engaged, and everything else.  Sometimes it doesn't seem real at all.  I can't wait for my family to come out here and see what Rexburg is like, and to be able to experience all of the excitement with me.  As it gets closer to wedding time I find that I am so grateful for Tyson.  I love him more and more everyday and I can't imagine my life without him.  He is so important to me and am truly blessed that I get to spend time and all eternity with him.  I feel that I am truly blessed to have the family that I do, to get to join a truly amazing family, and marry my best friend.  Life is getting better everyday.

A rainy chilly June day

Well, it's another great day at BYU-Idaho. Actually its cold and rainy which I am not happy about because it's JUNE!!! Really Rexburg? Come on now. Anyway I thought that in between homework sessions I would update my blog because some exciting things have happened.

1. I GOT ENGAGED! Sunday, May 29, 2011 in Island Park in the Erikson boat house.
2. I'M GETTING MARRIED!! Friday, August 19, 2011 in the Rexburg Temple.
3. WE GOT AN APARTMENT! We are living in Stone Brook Apartments, we signed a year lease and I'm moving in on the 21st of July.

There are so many things going on when it comes to planning a wedding during school and trying to focus on one thing at a time. It's a good thing I have great friends, mothers, and Tyson to help me out. 

Another Semester at BYU-I

Well, it's been a while since I've written on my blog. I keep up with other blogs but haven't touched mine in a while. So much has happened and I don't think I have enough room to write everything, but I'll do my best. We'll start at the beginning of the year.  Winter of 2011 started of with my living in a new complex called Northgate with Emilee, Loni, Kaylissa, and Heather. We met lots of cool people and it was at the very beginning of the semester on the very first day of classes (well that night) that I met Tyson Erikson. After about 3 weeks of hanging out and getting to know each other we started dating. Now almost 4 months later I am taking him home to meet my family!! This is scary and exciting all at the same time. I've only ever brought one boyfriend home (since all the other guys I've dated have been here in Rexburg) and I'm a little nervous. I know that my family will love him just like I do, but ti's still hard when you think about bringing a boy home to meet my parents, and family, and friends. But I know that things will be all right. I love him and that's all that matters. Wow, I thought that it would be a long time before I found someone that I could say that to. I Love You...it's a good thing he's worth it.

It's hard to believe that true love exists. I mean I know that people say that all the time that it does but until it happens to you it just doesn't seem possible. I couldn't believe that I knew so early on in our relationship that I wanted to be with him forever. Because when you think about it that's a long time, like forever! But then again I always tell him he's stuck with me and we talk about marriage and family and future stuff. But I do really love him and can't imagine my life without him. So we'll see how this meeting the family thing goes next week. (fingers crossed!) hahaha
